As stated yestereday, the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau is closely monitoring Hurricane Ike. We are in touch with our hospitality partners and working with them to provide you with the latest information on their status.
Closures announced to date:
Cameron Parish has ordered a mandatory evacuation of lower Cameron Parish and low lying areas in Hackberry and Grand Lake to begin on Wednesday, September 10.
Cameron Parish Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10.
The Sabine National Wildlife Refuge will close at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, September 10. The refuge will reopen once the mandatory evacuation order is lifted by parish officials.
