In an effort to prepare for Gustav, the Lake Charles/Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau has established this blog site.
As emergency information becomes available, we will post it here and on our Web site, http://www.visitlakecharles.org/.
Should we experience a direct hit, this will be the place to find information on openings/closings of hotels, restuarants and attractions. We will also post hotel room availability as we are able to get it.
Please let us know by posting a comment on this thread if you become aware of any closures in the area.
Thank you!
